12/17/2023 0 Comments Strike witches propedit![]() The timeline even progressed to 1946 with large swarths of the world still Neuroi-infested. Shizuka is useless and I dearly miss Mio's laughter.Īgain, we receive little to no new information on the Neuroi, seeing as more information about them or allusions to a peace with them would mean the end of the series, and Lord knows the Production committee doesn't want to lose their golden goose. Sanya/Eila's episode is fine if not as strong as before, Perriene's episode was surprisingly good, and Lynne's focus in Episode 7 is fantastic, even if she is shafted otherwise. As mentioned earlier the Karlsland girls (especially Trude) steal the spotlight in this, but my favourite episode, as usual, is the Shirley/Lucchini bonding episode. ![]() Thankfully the rest of the girls fare much better, especially in their spotlight episodes. I can't believe we traded in Mio for this. Yoshika's Jesus Complex is still there, and while Shizuka does receive some form of character development that makes her less bitchy, that just means she becomes even more useless than she was in the movie. ![]() At the very least, now, the military (in the mainline series) is finally shown to be at least somewhat competent, taking down some Neuroi or another with some degree of success, even if they still need MiyafuJesus to save their asses in the end. Thankfully gone is the formulaic "Miyafuji takes a boat ride to Europe that lasts two episodes while the Navy is useless, and the girls take down the Neuroi-fused superweapon of the season that was previously thought to be a good idea". Traditionally episodes 1,2,11,and 12 are the weakest episodes since they're the only plot-focused episodes with Miyafuji as the center, and here they still are the weakest episodes, but even then they're still vastly improved compared to their S1 and S2 counterparts. counterparts, and the girls look fantastic in HD. The action scenes and 3D models look as good as, if not better than their movie The animation noticeably received a huge bump even before the BDs are out. Road to Berlin is exactly what you'd want and expect from a Strike Witches sequel, and apart from Shizuka's existence, it delivers on every front. However, if you need more convincing, the rest of the review is there for you. That line should be enough to convince you to watch what I consider to be the best season of Strike Witches to date (excluding Hasshin Shimasu, which is untouchable). Focus stacking is a photography term used to describe the process of combining photographs to obtain images with a much larger depth of field that would be possible in a single photo.įocus stacking as a photography technique is especially useful for macro photography of small objects, because regardless of the f/stop used, the unavoidably small depth of field shooting small objects means that much of your subject will actually be unsharp and out of focus.Trude punches an Su-57 with her goddamned fists. Stacking overcomes this by combining the sharpest parts of several images focused at different points and combining them into one very sharp composite image. ![]() Starting out with focus stacking isn't hard, can be done at any time and doesn't need to be expensive. All you need to start focus stacking is a digital camera, a stage, a flash, your tripod, the right software for stacking and a good sprinkling of patience. #Helicon focus full how toįocus Stacking Walkthrough 1 ➤ The focus stacking workflow 2 ➤ How to prepare a focus stack 3 ➤ How to shoot a focus stack 4 ➤ Software tools for focus stacks 5 ➤ Postprocessing tools for focus stackingįocus stacking is done by amateurs, professionals and part-timers, has applications in entomology, science and astronomy and there's even a camera that focus stacks on the Mars Rover. Focus stacking, also known as macro stacking, focal plane merging, z-stacking and focus blending, can be done inside on the kitchen table during winter and is fun to learn, opening new worlds and opportunities for photography. Like anything, there's a workflow and certain amount of preparation that's done before shooting a focus stack. ![]()
